FORMTRUTH / FAQ
Search practical answers about jewelry sourcing, design, samples, production and delivery.
Repeat production should use the exact style and an identified, reviewed and locked technical or design version. Confirm the material, dimensions, finish, packaging and acceptance basis covered by that version. A matching SKU or earlier order does not prove that every detail remains unchanged. Any difference in material, component, process, supplier, finish, packaging or acceptance criteria must be recorded and assessed before production.
Consistency of materials and finishes must be confirmed for the actual repeat order. The current quote and production documents should identify the requirement and reference the applicable approved sample or record. Material availability, process changes, supplier differences and batch conditions may affect the result. An earlier image or SKU alone cannot promise an identical finish or material.
The repeat-production MOQ is confirmed in the current purchasing information for the exact style and in the applicable formal quote. Variant, sourcing mode and quantity are separate choices, so an earlier order, SKU or procurement-list quantity may not be the current MOQ. Review the displayed MOQ and price basis, then compare them with the quote. If they differ, use the account or support route to confirm the applicable information.
A repeat-order price may change when the current commercial basis differs from the earlier order. Relevant factors can include material or component availability, sourcing mode, quantity, currency, included or excluded costs, trade terms, quote validity and approved changes to the technical scope. A previous price is not automatically preserved. Compare the current formal quote with the earlier record before accepting changed materials or production conditions.
An earlier sample can be a reference, but it is not automatically the complete production basis. Repeat production should rely on an identified, reviewed and locked technical or design version, with the relevant sample record and required commercial and manufacturing gates. Confirm which sample, version, conditions and unresolved changes apply. An old image or sample alone cannot prove that every detail remains identical.
If a material is no longer available, the original production basis cannot simply continue unchanged. A substitute may affect the product, finish, component, process, supplier, testing or acceptance basis, so it must be identified and assessed before use. Record the proposed alternative and its supporting evidence in the project or quote. Confirm required review, testing, sample requirements and revised commercial terms before authorizing production.
Yes, finishes can vary between batches because material, process, supplier or batch conditions may differ. Tie the accepted appearance to an identified sample, technical version and project-specific acceptance basis, rather than an old photograph or an unchanged-SKU assumption. Where AQL is used, it is a sampling acceptance plan, not a zero-defect guarantee. Confirm any tolerance, inspection method and unresolved variation in the current quote or production documents.
A repeat order does not have a universal rule requiring or waiving a new sample. The decision depends on the locked production basis and any changes to material, component, process, supplier, finish, packaging or acceptance criteria. Link the earlier sample and technical record to the current style, list differences and confirm the project-specific outcome. The current quote or production documents should state whether existing approval remains applicable or new sampling or testing is required.
Repeat production or delivery can be split into batches only when the arrangement is confirmed for the actual project. Batch scope, shipment changes, timing, costs, stock allocation and commercial terms are project-specific. Adding quantities to a procurement list does not authorize manufacturing or reserve stock. Before approval, have the formal quote or order state each batch, shipment condition, payment step, timing, acceptance basis and any changed price or trade terms.
Use the authenticated account and the relevant account or project controls to link the exact earlier order, style and technical records. Private projects, approvals and account-linked collaboration require the appropriate account and team permissions. A procurement list does not place an order or authorize production. Start from the current style or project, use the linking control shown there, and verify the technical version, sample, decision record and unresolved changes. If the record is unavailable, contact support with the order reference.
